How good are 'Advanced' Mystery Boxes?

Post by Dive » Fri Jul 12, 2013 7:42 pm

So i have been on the test servers, and for some reason this came to mind first, how good are they? can money be made? best loot? worst loot? most frequent loot? rarest loot? average gp per box?

I opened 500 Boxes, which is a low amount i understand, but its just a rough idea, opening 500 more as i type this. my results so far conclude this list of items are ones available from the advanced boxes;
1B Ticket - 237
500M Ticket - 99
Blue Partyhat - 1
White Partyhat - 3
Red Partyhat - 3
Green Partyhat - 4
Yellow Partyhat - 3
Purple Partyhat - 1
Red H'Ween Mask - 4
Blue H'Ween Mask - 2
Green H'Ween Mask - 1
Santa Hat - 3
Easter Egg - 4
Pumpkin - 0
Divine Spirit Shield - 8
Divine Sigil - 7
Elysian Spirit Shield - 2
Elysian Sigil - 4
Arcane Spirit Shield - 0
Arcane Sigil - 2
Spectral Spirit Shield - 2
Spectral Sigil - 7
Chaotic Rapier 0 - 5
Chaotic Long 0 - 2
Chaotic C'Bow 0 - 3
Chaotic Staff 0 - 2
Chaotic Maul 0 - 0
Chicken Head - 4
Chicken Wings - 5
Chicken Legs - 1
Chicken Feet - 2
Bandos Godsword - 1
Zamorak Godsword - 4
Saradomin Godsword - 6
Armadyl Godsword - 4
Rubber Chicken - 3
Chicken - 5
Fox - 4
Basket of Eggs - 3
Easter Ring - 4
Camel Mask - 5
Jack o Lantern Mask - 2
Rogue Mask - 3
Scythe - 6
Sled - 6
Fighting Boots - 2
Fancy Boots - 5
GreeGree's - 8
Dragon Claws - 3
Premium Player Status - 4
Donator Status - 1

Obviously Most Common is the 1B Ticket at a chance of 47.4% of recieving one (due to low number tested this is probably at around 50%

Least Common Recieved we have 6 items, being Donator Status, Blue Partyhat, Purple Partyhat, Bandos Godsword, Chicken Legs and Green H'Ween Mask, This i believe is down to sheer dumb luck with the exception of the partyhats which may of been done purposely, with blue being most expensive in RS and purple being the rarest when they were created in classic. This does not include the items i did not receive such as the Pumpkin and Arcane Spirit Shield

Most Expensive Item Loot : Premium Status Averaging around 4B recently on the Exchange

Least Expensive Item Loot : Zamorak Godsword Peaking at 100M when people need it desperately

Another way to group these items would be this;

1b Tickets: 237
500M Tickets: 99
Holiday Item Rares: 29
Spirit Shields + Sigils: 32
Chaotics: 12
Chicken Armour: 12
Godswords + Claws: 18
Cosmetics: 48
GreeGrees: 8
Status': 5

This Would therefore mean obviously tickets are the most common to receive, But itemwise, Cosmetics eg; chicken, fox, basket of eggs, rogue mask, scythe, fighting boots and such are the most common, least common being the status' at a chance of 1% whereas the cosmetics are just under 10%

I feel i need to mention that this post is to have to effect on the economy for my own personal gain or for others, this is merely to show people an extremely inaccurate statistic that i thought people may want to know - Chaotic Long

I Worked it out to be a loss of 350B if you spend 1.8b on each, buying 500 would cost 900B and the overall loot came to around 650B
