Slayer Bracelets & Perks

Here is the math behind the Slayer Bracelets and their Perks. It is kinda crazy how good the Bracelet of Slaughter is in comparison to the Expeditious Bracelet. At Level 10, the Slaughter will make tasks 2.5X as long on average. So a task of 10 becomes 25. The slaughter perk has increasing returns for each level purchased, while the Expeditious perk has diminishing returns. I also included they hypothetical numbers for the Bracelet of Slaughter if the perk went all the way up to 95% Activation chance. Obviously 100% would mean an infinite task.

If you maxed out each perk:
  • Slaughter would make a task of 100 become a task of 250.
  • Expeditious would make a task of 100 become a task of 77.
An increase of 150 vs a decrease of 23... Maybe we should change the Expeditious perk to max out at 100% Activation Chance so it can compete a lil

Bracelet of Slaughter
Spoiler: show
Effective Task Length = Assigned Task Length * ( 1 / ( 1 - Activation Chance / 100 ) )

Expeditious Bracelet
Spoiler: show
Effective Task Length = Assigned Task Length * ( 1 / ( 1 + Activation Chance / 100 ) ) )

This is highschool math  If you want, I can do the full negative binomial distribution to conculate the odds of each potential final kc on task completion given an initial task length...
