How to make cape buyback process more efficient
When literally half on your time playing pkh is spent analyzing cape refund mechanics so u even read the dialogue over and over but find nothing.
When you've typed multiple page long suggestions just to realize it's not worth the cape buyback process being made only 10% more efficient and think of a better solution that just does't seem to exist.
When you resort to complaining on yell every time you die instead.
The only other option is becoming candy bars 2.0 and using firecape instead of comp cape, but given his pathetic dh ratio it isn't worth it.

Re: How to make cape buyback process more efficient
You spend half your pkh-time trying to figure out how to avoid doing 3 clicks on a guy standing right next to your edgeville bank booth?
I still fully support having presets load stuff from refund box. Only reason it hasn't been done yet is because it's such a minor inconvenience that it's not worth prioritizing over more urgently needed updates.

This is literally 'capes to preset', which was repeatedly deniedRapsey wrote:I still fully support having presets load stuff from refund box.
It's actually 14 clicks with about 6 keypresses, could be 13 if I try.

Refund box capes to preset, or any item in refund to preset should be considered a fix or optimalisation instead of an entirely new suggestion.
I don't think it's really hard to add so idk why we're not getting it while it would be one of those little features that show the server is finetuned and the content is tied together in a "seamless" way.
Why not work on that and other things like capes to preset while taking a break from coding stuff for ToB, for example? I can get that the amount of code required for ToB isn't really motivating, but why not cut down very slightly on the ToB development and take little breaks to release stuff like that? It's motivating as dev to start and finish a piece of content and it's fun for players to see (minor) stuff being released. Win-win in that regard. I personally wouldn't mind if ToB took 8 months instead of 6 months but we get thrown a bone every month. But of course, how motivated is Mike still? Does he even want to continue working on the majority of the updates suggested? It's been a while since he's really said anything aside from the developer blog/news posts. Would be nice to hear something from him.

Aside from putting "capes 2 preset 2k18" as a footer in random unrelated posts you have made this suggestion exactly once. At no point was it ever denied. Saying that it was repeatedly denied is a total lie.The underdog wrote:This is literally 'capes to preset', which was repeatedly denied
In that topic I explained to you that our only objection was that we didn't want money to magically disappear from your bank (to pay refund costs) just because you clicked the "load preset" button.
I then proposed being able to stock up your refund box with cash as a way to resolve this objection. The whole point of that was to enable your capes 2 refund suggestion to be implemented. As an added bonus it already acts as a QoL improvement while we wait for capes 2 refund to be implemented.
Honestly I have no idea what made you think this was denied.
Uh...The underdog wrote:It's actually 14 clicks with about 6 keypresses, could be 13 if I try.
- left click refund box keeper
- right click cape
- left click "buy 1"
- press esc to close interface (or click x)
- left click cape to wield
I count 4 clicks and 1 keypress (or 5 clicks). After that you just hit the bank and load your preset as normal. I'm not quite sure how you do it in 13-14 clicks and 6 keypresses...
